I run Windows 7 home Premium - Service pack 1. I tried to install updates but One of 17 failed to load. Giving Error code '80070003 Update failed to load'. This appears to be stopping me from re loading my McAfee 'Total Protection' which was itself disabled by a virus attached to an update that they issued. At the moment I am running with very temporary protection so I need to resolve this situation as soon as possible. I would be grateful for any help you can give.

Your protection is excessive. Consult problem in McAgee support forum. (I guess that the setting of exception may solve the problem.)
